Bindi, now 26 years old, shared a poignant snapshot from her childhood featuring a tender moment where she kisses Steve on the cheek. She captioned this heartfelt post with words that celebrate his legacy as well as their personal bond: “Happy Birthday, Dad. You will always be known globally as the greatest Wildlife Warrior. To me though, you’re an extraordinary dad and our family’s beacon of hope. I love you deeply and think of you each day.”

Earlier in February during an episode of “A Life of Greatness” podcast series, Bindi candidly discussed how she has coped with losing her father over time.
“Grief evolves,” she stated thoughtfully during the interview. At one point reflecting back when they lost him—she recalled how adults consoled her saying “Time heals all wounds,” leaving her baffled by its meaning at such a tender young age; “What does that even mean?”
Today atage 26 , however , she views it differently: “While time indeed alters grief and perspectives shift over time,” adding poignantly that “the deep sorrow from losing my dad is etched into my heart—a scar I carry.”
Bindi elaborated further about how this sense loss has shifted throughout different stages in life; rather than solely feeling devastated by sadness now she chooses to embrace memories filled with love characterized by warmth instead.”I feel compelled like never before—to make him proud by upholding what he stood for ensuring his incredible legacy thrives.”
