KINGSTON, Jamaica – Renowned dancehall artist Lisa Hyper faced arrest during the night at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston due to an alleged altercation with a staff member. Currently, she remains in custody at the airport.
According to Tasha Gooden, Lisa Hyper’s sister, this incident may surprisingly serve as a much-needed safety measure for their family. “We have been quite concerned about Lisa in recent weeks; now she is being looked after in a secure environment,” Tasha shared with Observer Online.

It’s important that she is released into the hands of qualified mental health practitioners.”
Initial reports indicate that during an argument within the airport, the entertainer allegedly assaulted an employee and displayed aggressive behavior towards law enforcement and airport staff.
