Tod’s Fall 2024 Campaign Showcases Italian Stories

The Italian brand Tod’s has unveiled⁣ its latest communication campaign under ⁢the direction of creative director Matteo Tamburini. This ⁢campaign, titled Italian Stories, seeks to celebrate ‍the Italian lifestyle by presenting real Italian families, their homes, and their unique ⁢stories at ⁢the core⁤ of the brand’s narrative.

Villa Il Palazzetto,‍ a 17th-century residence, is the setting⁤ for the ‍first chapter of the Italian Stories campaign. ‌Located in Monselice, near Padova, this historic villa was restored in the 1960s by Aldo ‍Businaro’s friend Carlo Scarpa, the famous Italian architect. The beautifully restored villa became the ⁢perfect backdrop for the campaign’s images, which were captured by the ‍talented photographer Zoë ‌Ghertner.

The first‍ chapter⁣ of the Italian Stories campaign ‌emphasizes the Businaro family, the architectural legacy of Carlo and Tobia Scarpa, and their 17th-century residence, Villa Il Palazzetto. Tod’s general brand manager, ⁣Carlo Alberto Beretta, stated that‌ “This‌ campaign marks the beginning of a new story that celebrates the Italian lifestyle through unique places ‌and⁤ moments of everyday ⁤life.” He ‌further added, “In this first chapter, Villa ⁤Il Palazzetto ⁣becomes the setting for‍ contemporary ⁤life stories that celebrate the ⁢symbolic values of Italian lifestyle: family, hospitality, and‍ timeless style.”

The Italian Stories campaign ⁢models ‍include Mica Argañaraz, Annemary Aderibigbe, Tommaso De Benedictis, and Roch Barbot. ⁤They are seen wearing some of Tamburini’s designs for the brand, ⁣including the men’s bomber jacket in leather, part‌ of⁤ the Pashmy project, ‍and Tod’s signature D Bag, as well as the Gommino Bubble ‍loafers.

More than just showcasing fashion, the Italian Stories campaign highlights not only Italian lifestyle but also the country’s ⁣art, architecture and family ‍ties. The Businaro family, who have owned the historic Villa Il Palazzetto since 1627, have been the custodians of the frescoes, artworks, vintage and contemporary ‌furniture that adorn the property. The villa also features a ⁢striking modernist‌ concrete staircase, designed by Carlo Scarpa and completed by his son.

The Businaro family has been promoting Italian design and has been⁣ the custodian of the Villa Il Palazzetto for over a century. The exquisite property was passed down from Aldo Businaro ⁢to his sons, Francesco, Federico, and Ferdinando, who continue to reside there. This family’s commitment to upholding beauty and⁣ seeking⁢ the sublime ‌resonates with ⁤Tod’s Group chairman and CEO Diego Della⁣ Valle’s pursuit of‌ superior quality.

Matteo Tamburini’s ‌inaugural collection⁣ for Tod’s,⁤ which was unveiled for fall, was ‌paraded at Milan’s ‌storied tram depot dating back to 1912. His direction as‍ creative director reflects‌ a new chapter for‌ the brand, one that embraces and celebrates the core values and lifestyle of Italy.
