When Does The Walking Dead Season 4 Start, Episode 1 of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is coming up very soon as new season 4 spoilers hint a possible, painful fight between Rick Grimes and the Governor.
Fans are trying to figure out what will happen with the Governor [David Morrissey] in season 4.
“I don’t know. I don’t know. Is he in the show? Is he not in the show? Who knows?” producer David Alpert told Zap2it on the 2013 Saturn Awards red carpet.
Alpert continues of the Governor, “What happened at the end of Season 3? He went kind of crazy, don’t you think? So he might have an army, or he might be living out alone in the woods. We don’t know. You’ll have to wait until October to find out.”
Series creator Robert Kirkman dished some more spoilers about the Governor and Rick keeping the group safe in the prison instead of Woodbury.
“The Governor is still out there. He’s already killed a great number of people from Woodbury. And I think they were able to repel him at the prison, so moving into Woodbury and setting up shop in his backyard – a place he’s very familiar with – would be very dangerous for Rick. They see the prison as something that is much more easily defended than Woodbury,” Kirkman told TV Line.
He added, “We always had a plan for this guy. We always knew that it was a bigger story than would fit into one season. There’s still a lot more to be done with this guy. We’ve known from the very first minute of Season 3 that we would be keeping the Governor around for a while.”
So what does this have to do with the leaked photos of Andrew Lincoln a.k.a. Rick Grimes with a bandaged hand? It could be from the Governor, or could be from a zombie bite.
Executive director Greg Nicotero assured fans that there will be everything zombie in the season 4 premiere.
“In the first episode this season, one of the guys in my crew was like, ‘You did every gag that you ever did in three years of ‘The Walking Dead’ in one episode.’ We had walkers. We had mummified corpses. We had puppets. We had zombie bites … There was even a couple of gags that we came up with on the fly,” Nicotero said.
