When Does Homeland Season 3 Start, In three months time, fans will have the pleasure of kicking back and enjoying the season 3 premiere of “Homeland.” Production is currently well underway in North Caroline and will head to Washington DC. As the season 3 debut approaches, more and more details make their way down from the set and provide fans with an idea of what’s to come.
In a recent interview with Hollywood Hills, co-creator Alex Gansa opened up about what will be the driving factor that will define the forthcoming season.
“The issue in this season is, what happened if it were learned that a major attack on the United States as sponsored by a state,” Gansa said. “These are big concerns that we’re going to deal with in the first sweep of episodes. And then there’s the big question about, you know, where Brody is?”
Brody will be present in season 3, however, his role won’t be as prominent as it was in the previous two.
“He is the most wanted man on the planet,” Gansa told the Los Angeles Times. “By definition, he’s going to be hiding somewhere, and if he’s hiding, that limits what we can do”
“There was still more story to tell between Claire and Brody,” he added. “I have no regrets about that. We’ll always sacrifice a degree of believability in order to put two characters together in a dramatic way.”
“Homeland” season 3 will begin amidst “the aftermath of the horrific terror attack that decimated the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and prompted a global manhunt for the world’s most wanted terrorist – Nick Brody (Damian Lewis). As Carrie (Claire Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered professional and personal lives, they are swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody’s whereabouts.”
