Urban Meyer Wife Shelley, Aaron Hernandez was a star at the University of Florida playing for then-Gators coach Urban Meyer, though Hernandez’s off-field troubles during his time in Gainesville have been well documented. And somewhere along the way Hernandez’s arrest last month for the murder of Odin Lloyd has put Meyer under the microscope.
As in, some folks are wondering if Meyer did enough — or anything at all, for that matter — to keep Hernandez on the straight and narrow during his college years.
Not surprisingly, Meyer’s wife, Shelley, and daughter, Gigi, are angry about this.
When will we start holding individuals accountable for their own decisions/actions and stop blaming any/everyone else? #liveyourliferight

In six years at Florida, Meyer’s players were arrested at least 31 times, according to the Orlando Sentinel. So while, to his wife and daughter, it might seem like people are blaming Meyer for Hernandez’s latest arrest, the issue really is much broader. It’s about whether Meyer, who now coaches Ohio State, even cares about his young athletes off the field — or if he’s simply concerned with winning, even if it means doing so with players of questionable character.
