Stevie Beale Wedding, Seven years after she was paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident, an Ohio woman fulfilled her dream of walking down the aisle at her wedding.
She was a vision in white, but Stevie Beale’s determined spirit is what was truly remarkable.
Flanked by her father and trainer, Stevie made the inspirational walk down this aisle. But it wasn’t easy, she’s been working for this moments for months.
Stevie was paralyzed in a car accident seven years ago. During her recovery she vowed to walk on her wedding day as she became Mrs. Jared Vanausdale.
After the ceremony, Jared carried his bride down the aisle, excited to begin their future as husband and wife.
“Seeing everything come together at that moment and seeing all the hard work pay off and her in the dress and how beautiful she was and just kind of overwhelming and tried to keep it together as much as possible,” said Jared.
“I’m just so excited to finally be married and know that I’m marrying my best friend, well I married my best friend I guess I can say now. And , you know, that I know we’re gonna laugh for the rest of our lives and that’s what I was looking for so I’m so happy,” said Stevie.
Stevie’s best friend, Brianna Mullinger, says she couldn’t be more proud.
“I’m so proud of her. Seeing her walk down the aisle is probably the most important part. I loved it, it was amazing. She’s worked so hard for it,” said Brianna.
This friendship began three years ago when Brianna lost her left leg in a train accident while walking to Springfield High School. Stevie visited Brianna at the hospital. It’s also where she met her now husband Jared.
“It’s amazing. It’s amazing to know that I introduced them and that they, at the beginning they were just friends and they fell so madly in love. I’ve never seen it like that before,” said Brianna.
