Replacing Ziva On Ncis, When the show returns for Season 11, it will have to say goodbye to a female lead, Cote de Pablo. What sort of woman could possibly replace the hardcore agent that is Ziva David?
A new actress has not been cast yet, but there are now some details on the character herself.
Bishop is the name of the new woman joining the agents of NCIS. According to TVLine, Bishop is a “bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward” woman. She is younger than the rest of the team — only in her 20s — and brings “a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism.” Although the character has traveled in the past, she only really feels comfortable at home.
Fans will not get to meet this amazing Bishop until partway through the “NCIS” season. Ziva’s departure will be dealt with in the first couple of episodes, and then a rotating cast of agents will appear throughout the episodes for awhile after that. “In the third episode, we introduce … a woman in her 50s who is a few days away from retirement and just needs to fill the desk time,” executive producer Gary Glasberg said. “We’re going to bring in people like that and have some fun with different characters. And then, hopefully, when people are comfortable enough, one will walk in and be The One.”
Probably The One will make her “NCIS” debut early in the winter of 2014. The season premiere is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24.
