Nemo Tracker, As Winter Storm Nemo approaches the East Coast, the National Weather Service has issued major travel advisories, and airlines have canceled hundreds of flights.
Boston residents have been advised not to travel out after noon on Friday. According to FlightAware, more than 1,300 flights have been canceled.
Up to a foot of snow is expected to fall on New York City and more than two feet on Boston. Travelers are being urged to avoid driving altogether and stay off the roads.
“As the storm develops, if conditions are poor and you can avoid traveling on the roadways, do,” said AAA spokeswoman Heather Hunter.
