Lindsay Lohan 2013, LiLo’s left the house. Following a three-month stint in rehab, is Lindsay Lohan finally ready to return to Hollywood atop her life and career? The troubled star, who left Cliffside Malibu Tuesday evening, has multiple endeavors ahead to prove her worth during what may mark the most important period in her life.
On Aug. 2, The Canyons, the erotic thriller drama starring Lohan will be distributed across the country. Though the film has been received unfavorably by critics, The Washington Post wrote Wednesday, “The strangest thing about ‘The Canyons’ is that Lindsay Lohan is the best thing in it.” It’s reported that she will make an Aug. 28 appearance at the Venice Film Festival to promote the flick.
This will most likely coincide with her reported vacation to London and Italy.
On Aug. 5, Lohan will make her return to the television spotlight by guest-hosting on E!’s Chelsea Lately. The star will show her comic prowess alongside Chuy while she interviews other stars.
Lohan also has an interview with Oprah Winfrey lined up – in addition to an eight-part documentary series on OWN that focuses on the star as she rebuilds her life post-rehab. Network execs maintain that this look in to Lohan’s life will be more of a “docu-series” rather than a “reality TV series.”
Her father, Michael Lohan, told E! News Wednesday that he is “very, very proud of what she’s accomplished, how far she’s come and how seriously she’s taking her sobriety and her future.”
“I think she’s going to be another Robert Downey, Jr.,” the father of six added.
