Ap Football Poll, It didn’t really surprise anyone that Alabama remained at the top of the Top 25 despite not playing, while Clemson continued rising into the top 3 while Oregon remained as the second best team in the nation, with Georgia enjoying a return into the top 10 thanks to their win over South Carolina, while Ole Miss and Miami bounce in the poll for the first time this season.

Notre Dame, Florida and South Carolina were the big sliders of the week after their first losses of the season, while Texas and USC continue to be big names that don’t live up to expectations, dropping out of the rankings.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (57 first place votes), 1-0: Alabama didn’t play this week, but it didn’t hurt their rankings on the AP Poll.

2. Oregon Ducks (1), 2-0: Had no problem getting a 59-10 win over Virginia in a non-conference game with Marcus Mariota and De’Anthony Thomas enjoying huge days.

3. Clemson Tigers (1), 2-0: Followed up their big win from the opening weekend with a 52-13 win over South Carolina State, helping them move up a spot.

7. Louisville Cardinals, 2-0: Moved up a spot as well, enjoying another fine performance from Teddy Bridgewater as they beat Eastern Kentucky 44-7.

8. LSU Tigers, 2-0: Another one spot climbers, enjoying the improvement of Zach Mettenberger (throwing for five touchdowns) in their 56-17 win over UAB.

9. Georgia Bulldogs, 1-1: The highest ranked one loss team in the nation, moving back into the top 10, after an impressive 41-30 win over South Carolina with big days from Aaron Murray and Todd Gurley.

10. Florida State Seminoles, 1-0: Didn’t play, didn’t move.

11. Michigan Wolverines, 2-0: After a big win over Notre Dame (41-30) which was the only two ranked team matchup of the weekend, they enjoyed a six spot jump up the polls.

12. Oklahoma State Cowboys, 2-0: Another wild game which wasn’t as close as the score suggests, beating the UTSA Roadrunners 56-35 and moving up a spot.

13. South Carolina Gamecocks, 1-1: Struggled defensively against Georgia, losing 30-41, and falling seven spots.

14. Oklahoma Sooners, 2-0: Moved up three spots after a 16-7 win over West Virginia, enjoying a huge day from Brennan Clay, running for 170 yards.
